Malsaeb Shampoo is indicated for the treatment of Dermatophytosis in cats and Seborrhoeic Dermatitis in dogs. Dermatophytosis, otherwise known as Ringworm, is an infection that manifests most commonly around the ears, eyes, or extremities, as focal alopecia, scaling, and crusting to the skin.
Ringworm can affect humans and so care should be taken during treatment. Sterilising grooming equipment and bedding, and wearing gloves when handling infected cats can help to reduce the risk of spreading. Similarly, Seborrhoeic Dermatitis is a fungal infection that causes bad dandruff and irritated skin.
Malaseb 250ml Shampoo is manufactured by Dechra and developed specifically for dogs. As such, it must never be used in other animals.
