Prascend Tablets are commonly used in the treatment of Equine Cushing’s Disease, now known as Pituitary Pars Intermedia Dysfunction (PPID). Previously thought an older horse disease, PPID is now frequently diagnosed in horses as young as five when excess cortisol is present in the body. Patches of hair that don’t shed can serve as an indicator of PPID, in conjunction with deterioration in athletic performance and a sharp change in attitude. Using Pracsend as part of PPID management can help to reduce these symptoms and improve the quality of life for your horse. When given as directed by your vet, the active ingredient, pergolide, affects hormone production to reduce symptoms to a more comfortable level for you and your horse. Prascend Equine Tablets are manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Limited and developed specifically for horses. As such they must never be used in other animals. Priced per 160 tablets.
